Documentary Video Series
Role: Video Editor, Director, Camera Operator
Made In Mankato (the name given to this series) was a yearlong documentary series that showcased small businesses in Mankato, Minnesota. The task was to feature a new business at the end of each month and only asking for a few hours from the business owners to share their story.
Discipline: Video Documentary
Client: Made In Mankato
The Beginning | I joined after the first video premiered and offered a large amount of my time in editing and filming for most of the remaining videos. It was exciting to collaborate with other passionate video professionals in the city. It was a personal goal of mine to put all of my past knowledge and experience in video production into these projects and the sentiment was shared amongst the crew.
We were determined to provide highly polished video content for each small business.
Motion Graphics | For each video, we needed a dynamic opening to showcase our brand. This graphic represents the visible and invisible that drives the small businesses in Mankato, Minnesota. Precisely why I decided to run with a light to dark transition.
Salvage Sisters Documentary | This is one of the projects I did a lot of work on from shooting to editing. It also became a key player for the business owners securing a TV pilot called Minnesota Salvage which aired on Great American Country.
